BCE provide mechanical, electrical and public health services design for all aspects of the built environment. Our strong team of experienced engineers provide quality designs to suit the Clients expectations. Our services start at concept stage and progress through the RIBA design stages through to the completion of the project. Surveys, Condition Reports & Feasibility Studies
BCE have completed numerous surveys and condition reports for the purposes of seeking Government funding for refurbishment works. The surveys and reports can then provide the basis of a feasibility study to assess the benefits and costs of potential new build and refurbishment works. We understand that obtaining project funding is a fundamental requirement that requires an understanding of the Clients requirements and operational activities. We work very closely with all our Clients so that we can understand their business and therefore provide the most optimum assessments.

External peer reviews are an excellent way of obtaining assurance that completed designs are meeting your Clients expectations. We undertake peer reviews for various parties including Banks/Funders, Main Contractors, M&E Contractors plus other M&E Consultants. By providing an honest and detailed assessment of 3rd party designs we improve the end product which ultimately results in a satisfied end Client.

BCE can provide dynamic thermal modelling for the purposes of producing Part L assessments, overheating assessments, climate based daylight modelling and input into the design process to support the rest of the design team. Utilising the latest IES software our in-depth modelling can provide crucial cost saving simulations to provide Clients with the information they need to make informed decisions. Our specialists will provide advice to the Client on the most economic and energy efficient solutions that still provide the required comfort conditions. Our thermal modelling team can provide the required energy and sustainability requirements at planning stage, during detailed design and also at completion i.e As Built Stage Part L assessments, SAP assessments and EPCs.

At the Construction Stage of the project our engineers undertake site inspections to ensure the M&E installations are being installed in accordance with the approved designs. Our site inspection reports highlight any quality issues or defects found within the installations to ensure they are rectified prior to completion. At the testing and commissioning stage our engineers will check readings and measurements taken at site to ensure they correspond with the design values giving confidence to the Client that the systems will operate as designed.
