A new build development on an existing brownfield site in Northstowe, Cambridgeshire comprising of a 10,250m2 4FE secondary school (with 8FE core), plus a 4300m2 60 pupil SEN school, external landscaping and car parking areas. The campus is to serve the newly built and ongoing Northstowe residential development. The utilities have the capacity for a future primary school, swimming pool, a 4FE extension to the secondary school and a separate post 16 block.

 

The M&E services were designed from concept through to construction stage including undertaking extensive IES modelling analysis of overheating and daylighting requirements to meet Cambridgeshire County Council and ESFA guidelines and incorporation of renewable technologies. All drawings were provided in BIM to coordinate with the architecture and CLT construction. First phase handover due August 2019.
